Support for Year 12s facing educational disadvantage
WHILE exam pressures recede, Year 12 students with a range of health, personal and other challenges still have an opportunity for their circumstances to be taken into account when applying for university.
Students can receive a helping hand through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) by applying for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS). EAS helps students who have experienced educational disadvantage gain entry to uni.
Broadening admissions for students from equity groups is one of the recommendations of the Government's Australian Universities Accord.
More than 23,300 students have applied for EAS so far this year.
To be considered for EAS in the main ATAR offer round on Monday 23 December (December Round 2), students need to apply and upload their documents by 11.59pm on Thursday 21 November. Students must first submit their UAC application.
Find out more about EAS or call Customer Service on (02) 9752 0200.
