Preferences for uni offers are closing
APPLICANTS for uni study in 2018 have until midnight this Sunday 17 December to change their course preferences for December Round 2 offers through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
Applicants can list a maximum of five preferences, and should put them in the order they would like them to be considered. Students can change their course preferences by logging in to their application on UAC’s website or on the My UAC mobile app.
The most important offer rounds for Year 12 students are December Round 2 (Thursday 21 December 2017), January Round 1 (Friday 12 January 2018) and January Round 2 (Wednesday 31 January 2018). Now that Year 12 students have their ATAR, it’s important for them to review their course choices and ensure they’re realistic. They can look at last year’s cut-offs, but remember that cut-offs include bonus points.
It’s important to note that some health science and medicine courses will be excluded from the December Round 2 offers. The full list of course exclusions is available on UAC’s website.
So far 71,328 people have applied for undergraduate study through UAC, but it’s not too late to apply – UAC applications for semester 1, 2018 are open until Monday 5 February 2018.
Visit UAC's website for more information about studying at university in 2018.
