National admissions information platform launched
THE Universities Admissions Centre is proud to have collaborated with the Commonwealth Government and the other state-based admissions centres to develop the national higher education admissions information platform: Course Seeker.
Course Seeker was officially launched by the Hon Mr Dan Tehan MP, Minister of Education and Training last week.
Course Seeker provides a single point of entry for prospective students with information about admissions policies and processes for all undergraduate courses offered by Australian higher education institutions. The information is presented in a consistent and comparable format to improve transparency across the higher education sector.
The searchable website displays course information, entry requirements, admission processes and student satisfaction and graduate survey results at the study area and institutional level. It centralises thousands of on-campus and online courses across Australia, making it easier for prospective students to find the course that’s right for them.
‘Having national course information all in one place makes it easier for prospective students to compare courses across the country and will be especially useful to those students applying interstate,’ says Kim Paino, General Manager, Marketing and Engagement.
Course Seeker is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training. The platform was a recommendation of the Higher Education Standards Panel in their Improving the Transparency of Higher Education Admissions report released in October 2016.
UAC is encouraging all prospective students to check out Course Seeker.
