More uni offers released
HOPEFUL applicants have another chance of securing a place at university in 2021 when UAC releases a further 15,000 offers in January Round 1 today, a rise from the 13,000 offers made last year.
Applicants will receive their offers via email from 7.30am and can also view them by logging in to UAC's website. Details of the lowest selection rank (previously known as the cut-off) for entry into each course will also be available on UAC's website.
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about January Round 1.
The next offer round (January Round 2) is on Thursday 21 January. Applicants need to finalise their preferences for that round by midnight on Sunday 17 January.
UAC General Manager of Marketing and Engagement Kim Paino says it’s an important time for students finalising their plans for this year.
‘Our congratulations go to those students who have received an offer and are looking forward to starting uni this year. For those who have missed out, I’d encourage them to look at courses that still have vacancies for the next offer round and also think about all the other pathways available to get to university and study your preferred course. There are staff on hand at UAC and at all the universities to help you navigate that path.'
For those who haven’t applied, it’s not too late, with applications for first semester study open until midnight on Friday 5 February.
For more information about applying through UAC, visit UAC’s website.
