Get ready – ATARs released in one week
MORE than 40,000 NSW HSC students will finally be able to access their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) on Thursday 20 January. The ATAR is the rank used by universities to select school leavers for entry into university courses.
Students can access their ATAR on UAC’s website from 9am using their Year 12 student number and UAC PIN, so we advise students to make sure they have those numbers ready.
They will also now receive their NSW HSC results at 6am on that day.
Students with questions about their ATAR can call UAC’s ATAR Enquiry Centre on (+61 2) 9119 5012 on the following days:
- Thursday 20 January, 8.30am–8.30pm
- Friday 21 January, 8.30am–8.30pm
- Monday 24 January, 8.30am–4.30pm
- Tuesday 25 January, 8.30am–4.30pm
- Wednesday 26 January, 8.30am–4.30pm.
In addition, UAC's Customer Service call centre will be open extended hours from 8.30am to 6.30pm on Thursday and Friday to take general queries.
They’ll need to act quickly, students have until midnight on Friday 21 January to change their preferences for the January Round 2 offer round – the first ATAR-based offer round. January Round 2 offers are released at 7.30am on Wednesday 26 January.
For those who haven’t applied, it’s not too late – applications for university study in first semester 2022 are open until Friday 4 February.
For more information about applying for tertiary study, visit UAC’s website or call UAC on (+61 2) 9752 0200.
