Confidentiality of student ATARs

WHEN ATARs are released on Friday 15 December, lots of Year 12 students will be bombarded with the inevitable question: 'What did you get?'

It’s important to note that ATARs are released only to individual students. Schools do not receive ATAR information and students can keep their ATAR completely confidential if they wish.

The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and universities have access to student ATARs to assist them in the university admissions process, but all staff at UAC and universities are covered by strict confidentiality agreements.
