Applications for uni in 2023 are open
APPLICATIONS for uni in 2023 open today through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
Year 12 students in NSW and the ACT have been emailed their PINs and will be able to apply straight away for study at any of UAC’s participating institutions.
Last year more than 49,000 Year 12 students applied through UAC. Their most popular course choices were in the fields of Society & Culture and Health and Management and we expect a similar pattern this year.
Students can apply now and come back later to review and change their course preferences. Courses will be added in the coming months and all semester 1, 2023 courses will be available from early August.
For those not in Year 12 looking to start a uni course mid-year, applications for semester 2, 2022 courses are also open.
Kim Paino, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement at UAC said, ‘While applications have opened today there’s of course still plenty of time to apply. One thing we do find though is that Year 12 students like to get their applications in early and nearly all of them apply by the end of September at the latest. It will be interesting to see what the demand for uni study is this year after the last two years of uncertainty; I suspect it will likely return to pre-pandemic levels but that won’t be known for many months.'
