Applications for uni are open
APPLICATIONS for uni in 2022 open today through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
Year 12 students in NSW and the ACT have been emailed their PINs and will be able to apply straight away for study at any of UAC’s participating institutions. Last year more than 49,000 Year 12 students applied through UAC.
Students can apply now and come back later to review and change their course preferences. Courses will be added in the coming months and all semester 1, 2022 courses will be available from early August.
For those not in Year 12 looking to start a uni course mid-year, applications for semester 2, 2021 courses are also open.
Kim Paino, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement at UAC said, ‘Last year when we opened, we saw a huge number of applications in the first couple of months. It will be interesting to see if that happens again this year or if that was an anomaly due to many students being in COVID lockdown at that time. Most Year 12s apply by the end of September, so we won’t really know until then if there’s continuing growth in demand for university study.’
