A helping hand getting into uni

IF you’re dealing with financial hardship, a medical condition or difficult personal circumstances and your education has been negatively impacted during years 11 and 12, the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) can help.

Applications for UAC’s Educational Access Scheme (EAS) are now open. EAS helps students who have experienced long-term disadvantage with entrance into university.

There are many types of disadvantages faced by students that will be considered through EAS. These include financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and being impacted by natural disasters such as droughts, floods and severe storms.

UAC is running several online sessions to help students, parents and teachers navigate the EAS application process. Let’s Chat about applying for EAS is running next Thursday 19 May.

Students and parents can also join UAC on Facebook and Instagram live on Tuesday 24 May to ask UAC’s Access Coordinator, Adam Hennessy, all about EAS.
