Entry information
- ACU Guarantee applications close Mon 16 Sep – Students can secure a place before the final exams.
- Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation) application changes: Entry will be based on a combination of factors including a transcript of latest academic results, curriculum vitae (CV) with references, sample essay and interviews. Apply directly by Sun 13 Oct. Students can apply after Sun 13 Oct through UAC. New Western Civilisation entry requirements.
- 2027 entry requirements for Bachelor of Biomedical Science (for 2024 Year 10 students): NSW students will be required to complete any 2 units of English (Standard) (Band 3) or English as an Additional Language (Band 4), and any 2 units of one of the following (Band 2): Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Early Entry
Open to domestic Year 12 students who are eligible for an ATAR and can demonstrate an average mark of no less than 70% across all subjects in Year 11. Scholarships worth $2,000 are also available. Apply for the Avondale Early Entry Program before Tuesday 3 December.

Students can book a campus tour to see Avondale's campus facilities, accommodation and services. Meet current students, staff and lecturers and have all your questions answered.

Early offer (PRS) applications closing soon
CQU's Principal's Recommendation Scheme (PRS) offers Year 12 students the opportunity to apply for eligible CQU undergraduate courses based on their high school principal's recommendation, instead of ATAR. Ideal for those passionate, talented and highly motivated students. Applications close 2 December 2024.
Online Chat Session: Thursday 3 October 3pm (AEST)
Year 12 students can ask CQU staff course-related queries and find out about scholarships, support services and more. Register for CQU Online Chat Session.

CQU scholarships are available for every study area, study level and citizenship. The financial boost can ease the pressure of paying for study materials like textbooks, uniforms, laptops, as well as relocation and living expenses.

New programs
- EmpowerED Uni Prep Program: applications now open to this free program for applicants who don't meet the admission requirements for an undergraduate degree. Designed to build confidence and academic study skills.
- Head Start Program: Year 11 and 12 students can accelerate their tertiary studies by completing a course (subject) at Griffith while still at high school.
- Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Communication and Bachelor of Cyber Security: students can also choose to combine a bachelor and masters degree and complete their study in four years with the new vertical double degrees.

- Entry pathway interviews: Early Entry, the Leadership Entry Program, and the Elite Athlete and Performer Program are taking interviews for students intending to start Feb 2025. The main interview day is Sat 7 Sep 2024. Eligible shortlisted students are required to book an interview to secure their early offer.

New First Robotics Adjustment Factor Scheme
FIRST Australia (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an initiative that is led by Macquarie University and run out of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
Students who participated in FIRST in Years 11 and or 12 may receive up to 10 adjustment points for specified degrees offered by the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Read more information about FIRST Australia.
Early Entry Program deadline
Early Entry Program offers are based on Year 11 results but are conditional on students completing the NSW HSC or ACT Senior Secondary Certificate. Applications close at midnight Thu 26 Sep.

New course – Bachelor of Criminology

Western’s new suite of modular learning courses aligns to in-demand job industries. Delivered through The College at Western, these courses provide an immersive study experience, that involve no exams or lectures. Study one course-specific subject at a time.
