Student and campus services
Macquarie University offers a range of student support services. These include counselling, chaplaincy, academic assistance and learning support, and employment and career advice. Campus facilities include a medical centre, computing centre, sporting and recreation facilities, and a childcare centre. The University supports a variety of student organisations, clubs and societies.
Macquarie’s Student Wellbeing has dedicated support services for students with special needs.
Macquarie University's Wallumattagal Campus in Macquarie Park is located on 126 hectares within the heart of Australia’s largest high-tech precinct, just 15 kilometres from the city centre.
The campus is home to a metro station, food outlets, a medical clinic and a private hospital, and is within walking distance to a major shopping precinct.
Macquarie's sports facilities are some of the best university facilities in the country – the Sport and Aquatic Centre features swimming pools, a state-of-the-art health club, squash and basketball courts, and a martial arts area.
It’s a diverse campus, with a strong focus on equity, diversity and inclusion. Staff and students from more than 100 countries study and work here. A range of services support students from culturally diverse backgrounds, Indigenous Australians, students who identify as LGBTQI+ and those with disability.
Transport options also make Macquarie one of the easiest universities to get to by public transport. There are more than 4000 car spaces on campus, regular buses and an on-campus metro station.

Macquarie University is committed to enabling access, inclusion and support for students with disability. Macquarie’s Accessibility Service works with students and academic staff to develop individualised access plans that includes a student’s required reasonable adjustments. Some examples of reasonable adjustments may include exam provisions, course materials in alternative formats or access to AUSLAN interpreters.
Students wishing to request support from the Accessibility Service (including prospective students), should register with the Accessibility Service as soon as possible.

Accommodation Services has dedicated staff to provide support during your transition to university.
