Avondale University has two campuses, both located in New South Wales, Australia.
The Lake Macquarie Campus, located on the Avondale Estate in Cooranbong, is Avondale’s main campus. With picturesque surroundings, both historic and modern learning facilities and supportive lecturers, the campus offers an ideal learning and living environment. Many students choose to live on campus in Avondale’s residences to fully immerse themselves in the Avondale experience.
The Sydney Campus is home to the Faculty of Nursing and Health and is located on the grounds of the Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAH), the largest private hospital in Australia. One of Australia’s oldest continuing nursing schools, Avondale’s Nursing program is housed in the new Clinical Education Centre, which provides nursing students with high-tech, multi-disciplinary training.
As a student at Avondale, there are accommodation options available to suit your needs.
Living on-campus provides a great social environment, giving you the opportunity to meet lots of new people and make friends from all over Australia and the world. It also provides you with a great study support network, as you are living with people who are going through the same experiences as you.
At Avondale we care about wholistic, healthy living, and believe that emotional and spiritual health is just as important as physical. On each of our campuses you’ll find the resources you need to help you on your journey.
All students are encouraged to have adequate medical insurance plus ambulance cover. In the event of a serious illness or accident students will be responsible for any medical, hospital, and/or ambulance costs. Avondale will notify parents/guardians of students under 18 years of age who have any serious illness or accident.
Avondale aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students during their program of study.
If you would like to meet with someone to discuss your needs, Indigenous support staff are located at the Lake Macquarie and Sydney campus and are available to provide advice or guidance with any questions, concerns or problems you may have.
