Australian National University

English language proficiency

Australian National University recognises a number of English language tests as proof of English language proficiency. These are set out in the following tables, together with the minimum results required. PTE Online, IELTS Online, TOEFL iBT home edition and OET@Home tests are not assessed.

Where completion of two years of equivalent full-time study is specified, applicants must have successfully completed two years of full-time (or equivalent) secondary (Year 12 equivalent) or tertiary education within the last four years, in the medium of English. All other English test results and qualifications must have been obtained or awarded within two years from the date of application.

Make sure you also read about qualifications that usually satisfy ELP.

Consult the English language policy on the ANU website to find out the current requirements and how the policy is applicable to you based on your choice of program and educational background.
